A gilded urn overflowing with roses, carnations, and forget-me-nots — this small original painting carries the ornamental spirit of the Rococo era in miniature.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Aysel Toprak, a master of classical Turkish arts with over 30 years of experience. Painted in delicate washes of pink, blue, and gold, the composition echoes the decorative floral still-lifes of 18th-century European painting — a tradition that, like Ottoman tezhip, treats flowers as a language of their own. Set on cream paper with a sage green mat, it is presented in a gold-toned wood frame, ready to hang.
This is a one-of-a-kind original — not a print or reproduction. No two paintings from this hand can ever be identical.
