In the Islamic and Ottoman tradition, the rose is the flower of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
His complexion, his fragrance, the warmth of his smile — for centuries, poets and artists reached for the rose when they wanted to express what words alone could not carry. To paint a rose with devoted hands is not merely decoration. It is a quiet act of love.
This original miniature painting by Aysel Toprak brings that tradition into a small, intimate format — perfectly suited to a desk, a bedside table, a bookshelf, or a wall that deserves something meaningful. Hand-painted in delicate watercolor and enriched with genuine 24K gold leaf accents, the composition draws from the Ottoman Rococo tradition: a style the late Ottoman Empire embraced and wove seamlessly into the visual language of Islamic art.
The vintage bronze-gold rectangular frame completes the piece with understated elegance. Small in size, but not in meaning.
This is a one-of-a-kind original. It will not be reproduced. Signed by the artist, ready to display.
